All for Nothing!

There are two great controversial subjects that most people in church cringe when spoken about. What are they? Sin and Money.

Both of these attributes have to deal with selfishness. Sin is the manner of doing what ever pleases the flesh for an instant high or self-gratification. While money talk in church, if not taught correctly, can come across as taking instead of giving or sowing.

At the same time I have heard men and women of God speak so clearly and accurately on giving, and then the complete opposite of seeing people regress in their seats, closing themselves off to receiving abundant blessing.

The scripture says;

  • Give and it will be given. ( Luke 6:38)

  • He who sows seed sparingly will reap sparingly, he who sows abundantly shall reap abundantly. (2 Corinthians 9:6)

  • Now may He who supplies seed to the sower, and bread for food, supply and multiply the seed you have sown and increase the fruits of your righteousness, 11 while you are enriched in everything for all liberality, which causes thanksgiving through us to God. (2 Corinthians 9:10–11)

The scripture says, He supplies seed to those who sow. Unfortunately todays culture wants all the blessings of God with zero responsibility or sacrifice.

Here is an example: if your house is in disarray and things continue to break this scripture from Malachi can bring some truth and guidance. Malachi 3:11 says, ““And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, So that he will not destroy the fruit of your ground, Nor shall the vine fail to bear fruit for you in the field,” Says the LORD of hosts;”

You can even test Him in this. (Malachi 3:10)

How about your seed. This is above 10%, which is your tithe. 11% is where the seed begins! This seed can produce some 30, 60,100 fold or even 1000 fold! (Deuteronomy 1:11)

It takes faith!

When I worked at a metal fabrication company, it took no faith to receive a pay check on the 1st and the 15th. What I received in my check was the amount I agreed to work for. Where faith stood tall was when I tithed my 10% and gave offerings that hurt, on a fixed income! Then I saw God show up to advance my fiancees outside the common capability of my employer. God is in control!

Every day should be a faith walk. We walk by faith and not by sight. This means go wherever the Lord leads and He shall provide! Total dependence on God takes mustard seed faith. Where the challenge arises is with a people who think that they can partake in the promises of God without the appropriate sacrifice. This wanting all for nothing mindset is destructive! It hinders the advancement of the kingdom and deliverance from poverty of the saints.

Sowing and Reaping is a mandate of the Lord. For what ever a man sows he shall reap. Sow sin and reap sin. Sow righteousness and reap righteousness. Sow tomatoes and reap tomatoes not cabbage!!! That being said if you sow money into good kingdom soil, you will reap money!!! You want to get out of debt, sow seed. Don’t allow yourself to fall into the trap of the enemy and think you can fake out the Lord by holding up an empty envelope, or cell phone with a zero balance expecting the blessing. Ask Holy Spirit what you should sow and do it with a cheerful heart. Sow your seed into good ground. Investigate the richness of the soil. If the soil is reaping a harvest, SOW!!! If not, don’t waste your seed.Then declare your harvest to grow and increase.

Now! The most important part of sowing. After you have done all you can do. Sow! Declare! Then thank the Lord for what is coming! I promise you He heard you the first time, the second time was begging. After you ask the Lord for whatever it is you need, sow your seed, now thank Him for what is coming! Celebrate as if it is already here ...... Healing, deliverance, souls, prodigals, or even finances.
