Proverbs 8: 14
You will find true success when you find me, for I have insight into wise plans that are designed just for you.
Success is defined as “the favorable or prosperous termination of attempts or endeavors; the accomplishment of one's goals.” How ironic that man’s definition of success also involves the end of seeking. So many believe that once success is found, the journey is complete. They say, “I have accomplished my goal; I have reached the unreachable statues whereI have deposited all of my drive and wrapped up all of my time into. Now that I have found said success, life is complete.”
Here in Proverbs, the scripture tells us that finding success is not based on chasing after what we have decided success looks like, but rather in finding God. If we are to chase after success, do we really have the mental capability of knowing what true success is? Or have we bought into a perverted western mindset of what others have preconceived success to be? The Word declares that if we seek we will find. Seek Him, the Father, and find success. If the eyes of the successful seeker were opened to Jesus today, he may find that which he was seeking at first was empty passions.
How many hours have been wasted chasing after empty passions? To the point of stressing ourselves out in order to hit a mark that was set up by our own hands, not by the Anointed One. If He has designed plans for us, then our prayer should be, “Lord give me wise insight that I may follow after your designed plan”. Then, and only then, will we be successful. Not in our accomplishments but in our desperate seeking to find His heart. Success is inevitable for the seeker who finds the heart of the Father and abides in Him. Unlike man’s view of success that comes to an end with termination, the success of The Lord is a narrow road that leads to eternal life.
